Acceptance of Terms

Wi-Spot Services

52 Eagle Street, Don Mariano Subdivision, Cainta, Rizal, Philippines

These Starlink Rental Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the rental and use of Starlink equipment provided by Wi-Spot Services (“Wi-Spot,” “we,” “us,” or “Lender”) to the person or organization renting the equipment (“Customer,” “Borrower,” or “you”).

By submitting a rental request, booking a Starlink unit, making a payment, or accepting delivery/pickup of the equipment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

1. Rental Equipment

The rented equipment may include a Starlink satellite dish, router, power supply, cables, adapters, mounting accessories, and other equipment specified in the rental package.

The actual equipment issued will depend on availability and will be recorded by Wi-Spot upon release.

All equipment remains the exclusive property of Wi-Spot Services. Rental does not transfer ownership of any equipment to the Customer.

2. Rental Period

The rental period is based on the dates agreed upon and confirmed by Wi-Spot.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Pickup: Starting at 6:00 PM on the day before the rental date
  • Return: No later than 12:00 noon on the day after the rental date

Earlier pickup, extended rental periods, or different pickup and return arrangements may be approved by Wi-Spot upon request and may be subject to additional charges.

3. Rental Fees and Deposit

The Customer must pay the applicable rental fee and required security deposit before or upon release of the equipment, unless otherwise agreed by Wi-Spot.

The security deposit is separate from the rental fee and may be used to cover:

  • Lost or missing equipment
  • Damage beyond normal wear and tear
  • Missing accessories
  • Unpaid rental extensions or late-return charges
  • Other amounts due under these Terms

Any remaining refundable deposit will be returned after the equipment has been inspected and all outstanding charges have been settled.

4. Equipment Care and Responsibility

The Customer is responsible for the equipment from the time it is released until it is returned and accepted by Wi-Spot.

The Customer must:

  • Handle the equipment with reasonable care.
  • Protect it from theft, loss, water damage, physical damage, and misuse.
  • Use the equipment only in accordance with applicable laws and Starlink service requirements.
  • Keep all accessories together and return the complete package.

The equipment must not be sold, subleased, transferred to another person, modified, dismantled, or tampered with without written permission from Wi-Spot.

5. Loss, Theft, or Damage

The Customer is responsible for any loss, theft, or damage occurring while the equipment is in their possession or under their responsibility.

Depending on the circumstances, Wi-Spot may charge the Customer for:

  • Repair costs;
  • Replacement parts;
  • Missing accessories; or
  • The applicable replacement value of the equipment.

Such charges may be deducted from the security deposit. If the amount exceeds the deposit, the Customer remains responsible for paying the remaining balance.

6. Late Returns

Equipment must be returned within the agreed return schedule.

Unless otherwise agreed:

  • Up to 6 hours late: Minimum late fee of ₱500
  • More than 6 hours late: One full rental day charge
  • Every additional 24 hours: One full rental day charge per day or fraction thereof

Late-return charges apply because delayed returns may affect other confirmed bookings and equipment availability.

Payment of a late-return charge does not transfer ownership of the equipment or remove the Customer's obligation to return it.

7. Extension of Rental

If the Customer wishes to extend the rental period, they must contact Wi-Spot before the scheduled return time.

Extensions are subject to equipment availability and approval by Wi-Spot. Additional rental charges will apply.

Customers should not assume that a rental is automatically extended simply because the equipment has not yet been returned.

8. Proper and Lawful Use

The equipment must be used only for lawful purposes.

The Customer must not use the equipment for activities that violate applicable Philippine laws, Starlink's service terms, or other applicable regulations.

The Customer is solely responsible for their use of the internet connection and for any content, activity, or service accessed through the rented equipment.

9. Service Availability

Starlink service is dependent on satellite coverage, network conditions, weather, obstruction, geographic location, power availability, and other factors outside Wi-Spot's control.

Wi-Spot does not guarantee a specific internet speed, uptime, latency, or uninterrupted service unless a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise.

Wi-Spot is not responsible for business losses, lost revenue, data loss, or other consequential losses resulting from service interruptions or internet connectivity issues.

10. Equipment Setup and Installation

Unless specifically included in the rental package, the Customer is responsible for providing suitable power, placement, mounting, and operating conditions for the equipment.

The Customer must ensure that the Starlink dish has a suitable view of the sky and is placed in a safe location.

Any installation, technical support, delivery, retrieval, or additional services may be subject to separate charges.

11. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by the Wi-Spot Services Starlink Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

A rental booking is considered confirmed only when the required payment or reservation amount has been received and accepted by Wi-Spot.

12. Termination

Wi-Spot reserves the right to terminate a rental and require the immediate return of the equipment if the Customer violates these Terms, uses the equipment improperly, fails to make required payments, or presents a risk of loss or damage to the equipment.

The Customer remains responsible for any outstanding rental fees, late charges, repair costs, replacement costs, or other amounts due.

13. Indemnification

The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold Wi-Spot Services harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from the Customer's misuse of the equipment, unlawful activities, negligence, or failure to comply with these Terms.

14. Agreement and Electronic Acceptance

By making payment, or accepting the equipment, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

Electronic acceptance, including submission of an online form or acceptance through the Wi-Spot booking process, shall constitute acknowledgment and acceptance of these Terms.

Wi-Spot Services reserves the right to update these Terms from time to time. The version applicable to a rental is the version accepted by the Customer at the time of booking.
